Wednesday 30 May 2012 { 07:55 }

Monday attended Uncle Julian's funeral.
My cousin was on MC so he drove my grandmother and i to Auntie Esther's place.
Reach around 9:45am. Had Final Rites and Prayers from 4 Different Groups.
Headed to AMK- Christ The King Church for mass.

After that went to Mandai Crematorium.
Had our last goodbye, Uncle Julian's childhood friend shared
some stories to everyone in the prayer room.
Final blessings and prayer and we all placed a flower into Uncle Julian's hand/coffin.

Went to the Viewing Hall for his Cremation.
It was a sad teary moment seeing the coffin moving towards the flames.
We were made from ashes and we shall rise from ashes to the kingdom of God. Amen.

Tommorrow marks the 7th Day Prayer, mass will be held at SVDP at 6pm
followed by refeshments at Auntie Esther's place.
Will be attending.

Spoke to Hazel yesterday over the phone we updated each other on life.
Things are looking up for her, so happy!
Told her about mom and stuff.
Will be catching up in July and meeting Hazel's Bf for the very first time.

Meeting S today.
He's been really nice but who is to say that he might not fall back into his old routine?
Like in my previous post. Don't expect. Exactly what i'm doing.
All this while he'll find me, come all the way down to my place to fetch me and go out.
I would never initiate a meet-up.

Cos in general i've learn that guys can go all out for a girl if they want to!
It's nice not expecting and being surprised than expecting and having disappointments.
Need to lookout for myself this time around =)

A smart person will be patient and observant but a foolish one will jump and fall into a hole.

Better safe than sorry thats what my parents taught me.

Starting work soon.

logging off now,
much love!

Nasi Goreng Sambal

You're the reason for my smile.

 Meaning or Definition of Expecting.
ex·pect  (k-spkt)
v. ex·pect·ed, ex·pect·ing, ex·pects
v.tr.
1.
a. To look forward to the probable occurrence or appearance of: expecting a telephone call; expects rain on Sunday.
b. To consider likely or certain: expect to see them soon. See Usage Note at anticipate.
2. To consider reasonable or due: We expect an apology.
3. To consider obligatory; require: The school expects its pupils to be on time.
4. Informal To presume; suppose.

ex·pecta·ble adj.
ex·pecta·bly adv.
ex·pected·ly adv.
ex·pected·ness n.
Synonyms: expect, anticipate, hope, await
These verbs relate to the idea of looking ahead to something in the future. To expect is to look forward to the likely occurrence or appearance of someone or something: "We should not expect something for nothingbut we all do and call it Hope" (Edgar W. Howe).

Anticipate sometimes refers to taking advance action, as to forestall or prevent the occurrence of something expected or to meet a wish or request before it is articulated: anticipated the attack and locked the gates.
The term can also refer to having a foretaste of something expected: anticipate trouble.
To hope is to look forward with desire and usually with a measure of confidence in the likelihood of gaining what is desired: I hope to see you soon.

Expectation The act or state of expecting or looking forward to an event as about to happen.
That which is expected or looked for.

The prospect of the future; grounds upon which something excellent is expected to happen; prospect of anything good to come, esp. of property or rank.

The value of any chance (as the prospect of prize or property) which depends upon some contingent event. Expectations are computed for or against the occurrence of the event.

The leaving of the disease principally to the efforts of nature to effect a cure.

"We should not expect something for nothingbut we all do and call it Hope" (Edgar W. Howe).

Bottom Line, Never Expect!
It disappoints you.

{ 04:14 }

Received shocking news today technically on the 25 of May.
Uncle Julian passed away that very morning.

He's one of the few relatives from Dad's side that
has always understood what i have been through since young.
Auntie Esther was there since Day 1 when mom gave birth to me till now.
Though they are relatives, they have both showered me with loads of love.

I ponder back to when i last saw Uncle Julian,
He had just came out of the hospital after surgery.
Many told us to go and visit him cos "his days were numbered"
I for one feared this day.

I miss him so much.
Looking back on the times he'd advice me.
It's normal to be sad but i know God you are watching over him.
Bless him and his family especially his wife, Auntie Esther.
Guide them through their period of mourning.
Touch their hearts, Lord.

Death is inevitable but when it's our time we are surrounded by sadness.
This entry goes out to you and your family Uncle Julian.

We will fondly miss you and you will be forever in our hearts.

Cremation is at Mandai this coming Monday,
28 of May at 10am mass will commence.

Rest In Peace.

Friday 25 May 2012 { 07:30 }

It's been ages since i last wrote a post.
So much has happened in the past 4 months!
On 20 May 2012, Robin Gibb,
from the Bee Gees died at the age of 62 from colorectal cancer.
R.I.P  Robin Gibb.

On a lighter note,
I'll be leaving SMRT in June end and
will be starting my new job in July.
Travel Outbound Staff.
Has a good ring to it.
10am-7pm/8pm Mon-Fri
10am-2pm Alternate Saturdays
Travelling included.

Found out that Amanda and Marie are returning in July
instead of December for their break.
High chance of them staying here and continuing
instead of going back to complete their course overseas.
Ryan turns 4 years old this year.
Still remember when he was just a little baby.
It feels like yesterday when he was crawling, mumbling, trying to talk.
Now he's all grown up.
Whenever he sees me he says,' hi auntie Amy!'
It brings joy knowing that my nephew is growing up so fast.

Daddy ask me to check the rough estimate for braces.
Since grandma brought up the topic he's acting all nice like he wants to help.
Dentist told me my jaw is too small that's why my teeth is starting to overlap.
Plus, my wisdom tooth have all started growing,
forcing the teeth forward.
I know most people don't look forward to getting braces
but my situation is a M-U-S-T!
Cause no matter how people claim one's outlook is not important
i have seen the judgemental world out there
and they do scringe if one is not up to a certain standard in terms of outlook.

On the family front things are looking up.
I feel so blessed that i have a mom who really brought me up
with the mindset that i was her gift.

logging off now,
much love!

Cupcakes & Cookies.

What more do i need?

Thursday 12 January 2012 { 07:40 }

In this stand still moment of time,
I’ve realised every given sign,
Test against time we tried to be fine.

Momentarily I feel like you’ve done me enough harm,
Foul play, crime or a lie u made it seem like a guy,
A guy who painted something with me in time,
In a moment of folly destroyed my dearest rhymes.

Rhymes I believed to be true love,
I thought without you I’d be dew,
So mere and small to the world above me,
But now I have to regret thee.

I feel like a joke you’ve played me,
In vain I’ve tried to help but jus maybe,
Our feelings were true still you forsake what lies in the truth,
Cause we’re not meant to be.

Thanks for the rollercoaster ride,
You brought me along on something I thought was right,
Now I’ve learnt it’s time to move on cause this story is so wrong,
The person I once knew has vanished from my favourite song.

Hurting as it may honestly be inside,
You’ll always have me by your side,
The flame inside me will always be alive,
Cause the dream will always be in my heart of being your wife.

Strip me of all the agony and growing pains we’ve battled,
You’ll see my skeleton bony and brittle,
But the heartbeat within still lives forever,
Though flaws may have ruined what-could-have-been,
I try to pull away from my feelings but I Love You still that’s what it seems.

Went to Soup Spoon.
Bugis to get some stuff and Holiday Inn to get Amanda's present.
Thursday met Syima after work.

It was pretty interesting. No idea why some found it boring?
I think it's a 3-part movie.
Read the summary of Breaking Dawn really looking forward to the next 2-parts.
Finally catched up with Syima after so long.
Seems like time flutters by when one is busy with life.
It's Friday, Amanda's birthday chalet.
Going to cab over after work with Hazel.
Thats all for now.
